Balcony West offers a distinctive private outdoor event venue in the heart of Downtown Denver. Located at 730 17th Street in the historic Equitable Building, our approximately 1,200-square-foot west-facing balcony provides views of Downtown Denver and the Colorado Front Range.
This is not a traditional full-service banquet hall. Balcony West provides the private venue space, while clients and event planners arrange catering, tables, chairs, flatware, décor and other event services.

The Balcony West event space is designed for people looking for a unique outdoor Downtown Denver venue rather than a conventional ballroom or hotel meeting room.
The balcony works particularly well for professionally planned events that take advantage of the views, central location and historic Equitable Building setting.

Best Fit for Experienced Event Planners
Balcony West is a bare-space venue. It is best suited for clients working with an experienced event planner or for organizers who are comfortable coordinating vendors and event logistics themselves.
We provide the venue. Clients generally arrange the other elements required for their event.
Balcony Rental Pricing
Event rentals generally start at $4,000.
Pricing increases depending on the type of event, number of people, scheduling, setup requirements and other event-specific considerations.
We no longer provide complimentary event tours. Event-tour arrangements and current pricing should be confirmed before scheduling.
What Is Included — and What You Provide
Balcony West provides the event space itself.
Clients are generally responsible for arranging:
- Tables and chairs
- Flatware and event furnishings
- Catering and food
- Beverages
- Décor
- Event setup and coordination
- Other vendors required for the event

Events That Are Usually Not a Good Fit
Not every event is well suited to this particular venue. Balcony West is generally not positioned as a baby-shower or prom venue.
The space works best for events where the outdoor balcony, Downtown Denver location and mountain-and-city views are an important part of the experience.

The west-facing balcony offers wide views across Downtown Denver toward the Front Range. The outdoor setting is particularly attractive for sunset gatherings, dinners, viewing events and professionally planned private functions.
